Bruliam Wines

Bruliam Wines operates out of Sonoma, California’s Dry Creek Valley, producing single vineyard pinot noir and zinfandel and I first came across it at Pinotfest in Pasadena. Bruliam Wines is unique in that they make wine in small 1-2 ton lots and Bruliam Wines is 100% not-for-profit. 100% of profits and the majority of their marketing budget are dedicated to charitable giving. Since its 2008 inception, Bruliam Wines has donated to over 45 national charities chosen by their fans and followers, known as “The Bruliam Brigade.”

Named for Co-proprietors, Brian and Kerith Overstreet’s three kids, Bruno, Lily, and Amelia, “Bruliam” sounded enough like cadmium, polonium, or barium to inspire their label, a riff on the Periodic Table of Elements. It’s also a nod to Kerith’s previous medical career.

They presently have Wildcat Mountain Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2010 and Deer Meadows Vineyard Anderson Valley Pinot Noir 2010 in stock.  There are fewer than 10 cases of each left.  Both retail at $46 and they are carried at Noir Restaurant in Pasadena.
