Okumura, (17302 Ventura Blvd Encino, 91316) focuses on simple sushi and roll preparations, in addition to a few hot plates. Okumura, who was born in Hong Kong but grew up in Palos Verdes, was trained as a chef at Hattori Culinary Academy in Japan and now opening his new eatery in Encino. Open Monday-Saturday, lunch from 11:30 am-2:30 pm and dinner from 5:30-10:30 pm.
